Important note!
The publisher of the protected software must enable the DiscFree technology in the protection scheme for an end user to be able to use the technology.

1. Choose the launch method of protected application.
Launch the protected application while holding SHIFT or CTRL key on your keyboard. The following dialog box appears:

In case you need to launch an application using the optical disc select “Check disk” button. A disc in the optical drive is required for this operation. You may be asked to install protection drivers.
“DiscFree” button enables the DiscFree technology and lets you launch the protected application without the optical disc.
ATTENTION! You can select the way of launching the protected application yourself.

1.1. Removal of Protection drivers
DiscFree technology does not require protection driver. If you decide to check disc at first, the system asks you to install protection driver (reboot may be required). But if you decide to activate DiscFree technology the system suggests removing the protection driver.

2. Automatic method of DiscFree activation.
With Internet connection
Press “DiscFree” button, type in the enclosed Serial Number and press “Activate” button.

If your computer is connected to the Internet press “Automatically” button, and the activation begins automatically without your interference*.
If something goes wrong during the automatic activation the following message is displayed:

By pressing the «Information» button you enable gathering the information file with error codes for further support assistance.
“OK” button enables manual product activation that doesn’t require the Internet connection on your computer. In this case the following dialog box is displayed:

You may press the “Automatically” button and make another attempt to activate the application via the Internet. In case this operation fails try manual activation method.

3. Manual method of DiscFree activation.
Without Internet connection
If you have no Internet connection at the moment or automatic activation failed, press “Manually” button. The following dialog box appears:

Your Hardware Code is shown in the dialog box.
Write down your Serial Number (should be included in the product package) and your Hardware Code and find any computer connected to the Internet. It may be internet café for instance.
Once the Internet connection is available, go to http://proactive.star-force.com and type in your Serial Number and Hardware Code in appropriate fields.

Press “Get Activation Key” button and write down your Activation Key.
To enter the Activation Key, repeat thelaunching process from the very beginning. Select “Manually” on Fig.5, and then press “Next” button on Fig.6. The system asks you to enter the Activation Key:

Type in your Activation Key and press “Activate” button. The Activation Key parameters are displayed then:

Press “OK” button to launch the application. Later on the protected application will start without the original optical disc.

6. If no activation method works.
If you cannot activate your product using all the above-mentioned methods you can always launch the protected application using original disc. No Internet connection at the moment? Waiting for a reply from the technical support service? Use disc! You can always activate DiscFree technology later.
* Besides the Serial Number and the Hardware Code, no personal data are sent to the StarForce activation server during the automatic activation.
